My clever little brother is taking his Post Doc in Valencia. He's a Chemist you know!
In one of my wine induced fluffy moments I suggested that we have a family outing to see him. Me, parents and grandparents, for a week. I had anxiety before I left, hey who wants to celebrate their 30th with their parents, let alone their grandparents! I had great plans of sneaking off for a holiday romance on a night time, in reality I was ready for bed by 10.
I must admit to getting rather choked with emotion meeting Richard at the metro station, all the family together, I asked him to smuggle me some wine into the apartment to help me cope.
However Valencia is a beautiful city. The architechture is stunning, the history engaging and the people charismatic. The food and wine is so good I gained 6 pounds, oops.
Mum and I sneaked off for a few hours sun bathing on the glorious sandy beach and had paella with a cheeky beer for sedation before heading back to the shared apartment.
I didn't take many photos and these are just from the camera phone......
